Who We Are
John Mintzer
My dad taught me to solder when I was 6 and started feeding me Popular Electronics magazines. I used to keep Heathkit, Laffayette, Olsen Electronics, and Allied Radio catalogs by my bed and went to sleep paging through them every night. My love for audio equipment began when I was 13 and listened to a Rolling Stones album of my older sister's through a single ended 6V6 tube amp that my dad helped me build . I was hooked.....

I started playing with electronics when I was 8 years old, collecting and tearing apart old radios, etc. About 1994, I began hooking up and repairing tube amplifiers. I loved the way they sounded and started building my own. I have been passionate about tube audio ever since.
